Pop Superstar To Perform ONE LAST TIME! In Sacramento On April 17
Public Can Trade a New or Gently Used Musical Instrument for Free Tickets to Manilow’s ONE LAST TIME! Concert
[Sacramento, CA] – Legendary singer-songwriter Barry Manilow is “hitting the road” ONE LAST TIME! and hopes others will follow his philanthropic lead as he donates a Yamaha piano to launch a local instrument drive during his ONE LAST TIME! Tour for the Sacramento City Unified School District. Anyone who donates a new or gently used musical instrument to Sleep Train Arena Box Office will receive two free tickets (valid for pre-selected seat locations) for Manilow’s April 17 concert in Sacramento, CA.
“I know firsthand how invaluable music education is,” said Manilow. “It is a privilege for me to help bring the gift of music to these kids,” he continued.
Sleep Train Arena Box Office will be the base for the instrument drive in Sacramento, from now through April 17, 2015. The instrument drop off location at the Sleep Train Arena Box Office is open between Mon-Fri 10a-6p; Sat 10a-4p.
“At Sacramento City Unified School District Superintendent, we understand that the arts are essential to fostering the creativity and ability to innovate that our students will need for success in college and 21st century careers,” said SCUSD Superintendent José L. Banda. “We are grateful to Mr. Manilow for his generosity and for giving our community the opportunity to introduce more students to music through this donation program.”
The Manilow Music Project (MMP) is part of The Manilow Fund for Health and Hope. Its primary focus is to provide musical instruments to high schools and middle schools and to provide music scholarships at universities throughout the US, Canada, and the UK.
