Public Can Trade a New or Gently Used Musical Instrument For Free Tickets to Manilow’s July 12th Concert

Don’t miss this unprecedented concert in Salt Lake City at the Maverik Center on July 12th as Manilow performs songs from his massive catalog of hits. The pop icon is also donating a Yamaha piano to launch a local instrument drive for Salt Lake County public schools in collaboration with Granite School District. Anyone who donates a new or gently used musical instrument to the Maverik Center will receive 2 free tickets (valid for pre-selected seat locations) for Manilow’s July 12th concert in Salt Lake City, UT.
“I’m thrilled to be able to help bring the gift of music to these kids,” states Manilow.
The Maverik Center will be the base for the instrument drive in Salt Lake County, from now through July 12th. The instrument drop off location is open between 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Monday through Friday and Saturday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
“Granite School District is delighted to be teaming with the Manilow Music Project in providing musical instruments for students in the Salt Lake Valley,” said Dr. Martin Bates, Superintendent. “This commitment to bolster music education in public schools is so needed and appreciated. While we champion a variety of arts opportunities in our district, this initiative will put instruments in the hands of students who might not otherwise have such advantages, and we couldn’t be more grateful.”
The Manilow Music Project (MMP) is part of The Manilow Fund for Health and Hope. It was formed as a grass roots organization to assist local charities and programs. Its primary focus is to provide musical instruments to high schools and middle schools and to provide music scholarships at universities throughout the US, Canada, and the UK.
